Why?

"Why me?" I think as I sit on the ground,
Feeling alone and painless
While my thoughts scatter round
"So what..." I say trying to cover my pain
But then I realize thinking that
it's just too vain.
"Why him?" The sound rings in my ear
On his homecoming night,
there shouldve only been cheer
I'm all alone now
what can I do?
"Nothing" I remember
That much I knew.
Sitting on the cold ground
and feeling quite sad
I ask myself this
"Why was it my dad?"
I don't know
Answering myself back
"Why couldnt my dad come back from Iraq?"

I really don't relate to this but I thought it would be kind of sentimental to people that lost loved ones in Iraq :] I guess it's a late vetrans day poem I wrote it in about 7 min... so..It's probally not too bad :D Bye bye for now :]
